Adolescence is a turbulent time of changes, searching for identity. Learn what brain science, identity development, and educational psychology have to say about raising connected and resilient kids primed to learn and be successful in school and life. What are some practical tips to help kids maintain healthy developing brains? How do you maintain connections with your kids, even as they draw away from adults? This session will help you empathize with your teens and with yourself, as well as inform how you approach your teens in healthy and productive ways.

Where: TCS Gym
Who: Targeted toward parents/guardians of students in grades 4 – 8. However, it is open to all families in Atlanta.
Childcare: Childcare will NOT be provided
Parking: Parking for the parent workshop will be at the Yaarab Shrine at 400 Ponce de Leon Avenue, N.E. Atlanta, GA 30308. A shuttle will take you back and forth from the shrine and the school. The shuttles will begin at 6:00 p.m.
