Entrepreneurship is the capacity and willingness to develop, manage, and organize a business venture, along with its risks and uncertainties. If there are any students at TCS equipped to do such things, it’s 3rd graders Lula and Tessa, who are well on their way to entrepreneurial success!
Lula and Tessa became fast friends at TCS and learned that they shared a common interest: they wanted to spread TCS love throughout their community–but how? After some thought, they decided to create custom-made TCS apparel and accessories for the school’s spirit wear shop. “If more people see our name and logo, maybe they’ll come to TCS and love it as much as we do” said Tessa.
The girls spent countless hours collaborating via telephone and email to make sure they agreed on product designs they both thought would be fashionable and profitable. They problem-solved side-by-side to eliminate items they did not think had potential, and re-worked existing ideas. “It’s been four months of hard work, and we’re really excited to launch the new spirit shop products,” said Lula. “We wanted to make stuff that shows how hard everyone works at TCS and how much everyone loves it here.”
The new TCS Spirit Shop will have its grand opening next Wednesday during morning carpool at the front entrance from 8:00am-8:30am and there will be a “lunch launch” from 12-1pm Wednesday afternoon! Merchandise will be on sale every Friday thereafter, so “gear up” to buy your goods to show your love for TCS!
*We are looking for parent volunteers to help keep the spirit shop running smoothly. If you are able to donate your time, please sign up here. We appreciate you!
