Luis recently moved to the greater Atlanta area from the southwest where he spent most of his life. He’s a big reader – fantasy and science fiction are his favorite genres. Luis lives with his fiance and 3-year-old cat.
What are you most excited about this year?
I’m so excited to teach humanities this year! I’ve got a lot of ideas that I think students will really enjoy. I can’t wait to try and incorporate a little bit of poetry into some of the wonderful assignments we create.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
This summer I spent a few weeks in Kuroni, Greece and Granada, Spain! I won’t ever forget those trips. But when I want to keep it a bit more stateside, I try to visit Disney as much as I can.
Which fictional character would you most like to meet?
I’d love to meet Gandalf the Grey. He is a powerful wizard with a kind hear but stands against evil whenever possible. I want to emulate the kindness and bravery that he exudes as much as I can. He a huge fictional hero of mine for his selflessness and he’s also pretty funny at times.
