Meet one of our new elementary teachers, JaKai Grooms! JaKai is paired with Trisha Buckley in second grade. She’s an Atlanta native, and attended The Children’s School as a child for ten years! She’s been teaching kindergarten for the past two years, after graduating from Howard University and the University of Pennsylvania. JaKai loves traveling, hanging out with friends, and anything Taylor Swift!
What are you most excited about this year?
I’m most excited to foster a love for learning and curiosity within the classroom. I’m also looking forward to exploring a new grade!
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is anywhere there is a beach!
Which fictional character would you most like to meet?
I would most like to meet Coraline. Coraline’s curiosity and imagination inspire and intrigue me.
