TCS families raised their virtual paddles to support socioeconomic diversity at this year’s annual auction benefit, “The Prom.” Co-chairs Fabienne Lauture and Allison Powell, along with Host Committee Co-chairs Sarah and Joseph Scalia, Art Committee leaders Darcey Mullis and Kelley Taylor, Sponsor Chair John Bell and fellow parent volunteers, organized a successful virtual party that met its goal and made history with the largest host committee in the school’s 49 years – truly amazing under any circumstances, especially a global pandemic!
“This year’s Prom was always more than just a fundraiser. It was an event that brought our community together in celebration of all that we are and will continue to be,” said Christie Parke, director of annual giving and alumni relations. “Even though we couldn’t physically be together this year, we still came together to support the school we love.”
This year’s paddle raise helped fund up to five interactive, STEAM learning gardens for TCS students of all ages, located throughout campus. Each garden will be specially built to meet the needs of a specific age range.
Thanks to all who volunteered, logged on, and contributed. It was a great evening!
