About Morgan
I’m happy to be back in the South! I was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and left home to attend college (with my twin sister Miriam) in Providence, RI. For nearly the next ten years, I remained in New England, attending graduate school and living in Boston. I’ve worked in public and private schools, and just moved here from the Bay Area, CA, home of the NBA championship team, the Golden State Warriors! One thing to know about me is that I absolutely love playing, watching, and coaching basketball!
What are you most excited about this year?
TCS is a magical place. I am most excited about discovering the magic that is found inside our youngest to oldest children. And, I’m looking forward to getting to know each of their families. At the core of my excitement is that I can be part of a community that accepts me for who I am and offers me a seat at the table.
When you’re not at school, where can we find you?
When I’m not a school, you can find me spending time with my partner, Jameela, and our 5-year old dog-ter, Sarafina, who is a dachshund-mix!
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My absolute favorite vacation spot is Hawai’i. The diverse natural scenery makes me feel like I’m in a such a magical place and there is beauty all around.
Which fictional character would you most like to meet?
Come on. It has to be Hermione Granger! With Hermione’s borderline genius and clever personality, she can solve almost any problem you have. Her compassion is unparalleled, and she will always help others, especially those who are defenseless. She is simply the best.
