Join us for a parent training session with social emotional engagement expert Emily Rubin on Wed., Feb. 22, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., in the TCS Gym. Emily trains teachers to encourage students’ social growth, and to see how encouraging relationship growth among all students in a class not only improves class culture, but enhances academic outcomes.
The session “Social Engagement in the Classroom: Current Research in Brain Development” will touch on:
- How current neuroscience helps us understand the development of social and emotional learning in our children
- How embedding supports for social and emotional engagement across natural routines supports language, literacy, and academic growth
TCS teachers will also talk about how they are using their specialized training to better engage with kids.
