Troy (right) with his twin brother, Turner
You’ll see a couple new faces in pre-primary this year. One of those is Troy!
About Troy
I moved to Atlanta two years ago from Savannah, and I just finished my master’s in education this past May. I helped a friend with their English during high school and have wanted to teach ever since. I’ve had experience in kindergarten, second and fifth grades. I live quite close to TCS and enjoy getting to know Midtown as much as I can in my free time.
What is your favorite school memory from when you were a kid?
One of my favorite memories was when my twin brother and I were in classes across the hall from one another. Every day for recess, our classes would play each other in kickball. It was such a fun game, and even the teachers got into the competitiveness!
What can TCS pre-primary students expect to learn and do this year?
TCS pre-primary kids can expect to play a whole lot this year! I’m big on letting kids discover things for themselves and facilitating their learning process. Learning through play is a huge part of early learning, and I’m glad to join a team who thinks so, too!
What are you most excited about this year?
I am most excited to learn all there is about the pre-primary experience. I’ve heard nothing but positive things about this age of learning, and I can’t wait to be a part of pre-primary this school year!
What are your favorite pizza toppings?
Pepperoni, banana peppers and feta cheese
