TCS loves hearing from our alumni families!
Amy Stone, mother of Cole and Tate Stone-Frisina (2008 & 2011 TCS graduates), recently got in touch with us to share some wonderful news. Tate, now a junior at Paideia, has been accepted into Paideia’s mentor program, a formal leadership role that seeks students who are self-directed, introspective, and confident to guide their underclassman peers. Students in the program receive formal coaching once a week and also meet with their mentees on a weekly basis.
It touched Amy to realize that Tate, along with several other TCS graduates, were accepted into Paideia’s mentor program. She knows that TCS “bakes” these qualities and characteristics into its graduates and gives them the tools to succeed in leadership roles.
Amy believes that the long-lasting relationships teachers create with students at TCS offers a rich and positive learning experience, one that has inspired Tate to want to volunteer his time in a formal mentor role to create positive relationships within his new academic community.
Thanks to Amy for reaching out to us to share the good news, and congrats to Tate on his accomplishments. Keep up the good work!
